Busworld Europe 2025, Brussels

Discover the future of mobility!

As an exhibitor, we will be presenting numerous new products, intelligent services and tailor-made solutions for modern bus and coach operations. Whether it's e-mobility, design consulting, digital services or new vehicle concepts – you can expect exciting insights and personal advice directly on site.

The new eIntouro

Fully electric intercity travel.

The Mercedes-Benz eIntouro is based on the well-known diesel-powered Intouro, but has a battery-electric drive. For the first time, we are making it possible for you to switch to electric mobility for classic intercity routes, school bus trips and smaller trips. You can choose between two vehicle lengths: the 12.18-metre-long eIntouro and the 13.09-metre-long eIntouro M.

OMNIplus CHARGE

CHARGE UP YOUR BUS BUSINESS.

Energy and infrastructure expertise for electric buses, hybrid vehicles and other alternative drive systems.

OMNIplus CHARGE offers a modular service package that is implemented in collaboration with leading partners:

- Consulting: location analysis, feasibility studies, subsidy advice
- Construction: Planning, installation and integration of charging infrastructure
- Operation: monitoring, maintenance, optimisation and service level agreements

OMNIplus ON monitor: location services for speed-based geofencing

Tracking services plus

The innovative service offering to track vehicles and optimise routes

In addition to the above-mentioned scope, the alternative tracking services plus service offers to also define up to 25 speed zones via geofencing, which the fleet manager can assign to one or more vehicles in the Zone Management area. In these rectangular areas, speeds can be defined from 15 km/h up to the vehicle’s permissible maximum speed, which the driver cannot exceed. It goes without saying that drivers can manually override the limit in hazardous situations by kick-down.

Over-the-Air updates

What has long been standard in smartphones is now also finding its way into buses and coaches.

Wireless transmission of system updates to the vehicle. Install updates at a specified time – without delay and without visiting a workshop. This is made possible by the new electronic architecture in the eIntouro in conjunction with the digital service ‘Over-the-Air Updates’ from OMNIplus ON.

NMC4 battery

NMC4 batteries are more robust, offering higher energy density and optimised performance, even when fast charging is used. Battery condition is continuously monitored to guarantee maximum safety. The batteries also have a uniform charging capacity of 300 kW when charging via pantograph and 150 kW when charging via CCS2 plug in the depot.

The eCitaro solo bus has a reliable range of up to 600 kilometres and the eCitaro G up to 480 kilometres when equipped with the maximum configuration of batteries and hydrogen tanks.

Active Brake Assist 6 Plus

Intelligent safety in almost any situation.

With Active Brake Assist 6 Plus, accidents can be reliably avoided. The system covers the entire vehicle speed range and is active in the background. It can warn in good time and intervene if there is a risk of collision with vehicles in front or stationary vehicles. Reaction to pedestrians and cyclists up to a speed of 60 km/h. The ABA 6 Plus safety system can react to crossing and oncoming pedestrians and moving cyclists in the vehicle’s own lane with automatic full-stop braking. ABA 6 Plus can also offer a further improvements in safety for cyclists, whether in intercity or urban traffic.

Attention Assist 2.

Enhanced safety thanks to visual monitoring.

Attention Assist uses a discreetly installed driver camera to detect signs of fatigue and distraction. If the system identifies any irregularities in eye movement or eyelid closing behaviour, it alerts you with a warning tone and display – for enhanced safety on long journeys.

Real-time analysis, no image storage

Depending on the vehicle model, the camera is positioned in the cockpit nearest the driver or on the A‑pillar in VDV cockpits, and converts the image data directly into metadata – without storing the image. It analyses head posture, the direction of gaze, eyelid blinking pattern and other features in real time. If the system identifies signs of fatigue or distraction, a clear warning is issued via signal tone and a message in the instrument cluster.

AxTrax 2 LF

The ZF AxTrax 2 LF is a space-saving, low-floor, electric axle for electric buses. It combines high performance with optimised energy efficiency and is suitable for solo and articulated buses. Its flexible design facilitates integration and supports quiet, emission-free operation.

With two oil-cooled hairpin permanent magnet motors and silicon carbide inverters, the axle delivers up to 360 kW of continuous output and a maximum torque of 2 x 525 Nm without gearing. It is designed for city and intercity buses up to 29 tonnes and, thanks to its modular platform concept, enables easy exchange with existing vehicle architectures.
